Hey there,
Some folks here have already met me, I'm also Tovah on TB (Talvi is the name of one of my cats). Along with our 2 budgies, Rowan and Sage, I also have a sun conure named Stewie, a dusky conure named Sidney and an african grey timneh named Morgan.
Stew is my sunshine. We have a super bond. He was our first non-budgie. Stew says a few words and is very friendly and outgoing.
Sid is working through some issues with his past but is coming around (at a snails pace). He was re-homed several times before coming to us. Just this week we've made some great progress. He's started letting me rub his head through his cage. This is brand new for him, he's never let me touch him before (he has always been the one touching, he likes to snuggle if I keep my hands to myself). Hopefully it will continue. He is fond of the backslide. (Just to clarify, he comes out of his cage often, he enjoys playing and snuggling with us, he detests being touched by hands)
Morgan is very sweet, just prefers my husband. He mostly just thinks of me as his head scratcher and treat giver. We have long conversations when I'm at my computer. Morgan is also a clown. He's just starting his first big molt (he's a year and a half but always molted gradually before). Poor guy. Morgan is also known around here as The Movie Talker. From the time we plop down on the couch to watch a movie until the time the credits roll, Morgan is a motor-mouth. He has pretty good comedic timing and sometimes his sound effects go perfectly with the movie lol
I've rambled enough for one post, and it's well past bed time for me.
Looking forward to seeing some familiar faces and meeting some new ones
Tovah
