I didn't see a thread like this, and I always love to see these threads. Most feathered kids are jokesters, with such wonderful senses of humor and seem to enjoy making us laugh. Just post a funny story or quirk...or two about your fids you'd love to share.
My blue fronted amazon parrot, Joey, in particular seems to love just messin' with people. Heaven forbid you're visiting for the first time and don't know what he's up to. He will mimick the phone ringing, and then when your go towards the phone to answer it, he immeadiately begins his version of laughter (this is one of the few things he does that is not very clear). He is so proud of himself for "tricking" you. He will often strut while he laughs, and he has a naughty look in his eye.
If you do not fall for this, he will eventually begin to scream "Come here, Come Here, COME HERE" getting louder and louder in volume until someone gives in. Either way he's greeting you with laughter and a strut.
It's even funnier when he calls "Come here" and the dog comes and he starts laughing and my poor old doggie is confused. Silly old boy.
He will also call "Come here, come here" and then when you arrive, will then tell you "Good bye". It's not a very...advanced "trick" but it always makes me laugh.
My conure, Gizmo, just likes to steal things. Random things...not even food lol If I'm doing homework she will walk over, very slowly, and then grab either my pencil or piece of paper and make a get away. One time she stole my eraser, and I spent 30 minutes looking for it until I found it....torn into bitty pieces on the floor. Good foot toy I suppose for only 25 cents
