Hi, hope everyone is doing well. I‘m a bird mum of 18 smaller parrots, but just as lovely (and cheeky). I’m doing research and I was wondering about the specific characteristics of different species of macaws. I’ve been around lots of blue-and-golds and green-wings, so I can tell you that B&G’s are clown like and Green-wings can be rather nippy, but also gentle giants... I mean, all have excellent traits. And obviously it utterly depends on the individual. Every bird has his or her own personality, just like us humans. In general though, species-wise, I was wondering about the behavioural traits. Anyone with a lot of macaw experience wants to give me some general characteristics? I just think it would be interesting to know. Obviously it wouldn’t be accurate for every bird as, like stated before, they all have their own amazing personalities. Lemme know, thanks!
