If any of you have read my thread about Maxi my Eurasian eagle owl then this should make you feel a little bit better I guess.

My uncle had secretly ordered a baby Indian eagle owl (the same species as Axel) who is now 5 weeks old. I will be going to see him very soon.

All I know about him so far is that his name is Todd
:lovehearts:

I will try and get loads of pictures when I go over there :D

Your uncle must really enjoy owls. How big do these types of owls get?

I don't want it to seem like we've replaced her! He had the order in for Todd secretly a few weeks back and I never even knew

But thanks guys :D

and Nanay, he's a male Indian eagle owl (Bengal, Rock eagle owl or whatever you want to call it) so the same as Axel only a bit smaller. I'll try and find something to show you how big a male usually is

[nomedia="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GXBDHsskmBk"]YouTube - ‪INDIAN BENGAL EAGLE OWL LOCAL SHOW FALCONRY DISPLAY‬‏[/nomedia] I managed to find a video of Basil from the centre I go to  he's a real sweetheart. But Todd will be roughly that size, Axel was about two thirds bigger

there's Basil from the centre, you can tell he's kinda tiny compared to Axel

and there's Axel at around 8 weeks old  she WAS a big girl!! haha!

Daisy,
Are the males just that much smaller than the females?
