Here in Canada we do the Gobble Gobble Celebration the first Monday in October and have a long weekend to celebrate. Most of my friends and family do the turkey tradition on Sunday, because we need 24 hours to get our stomachs back to normal before going back to work on Tuesday.
I like having Thanksgiving in October ... it gives me almost 2 months to get over the massive amount of food and countless numbers of turkey sandwiches that I will have to endure for the next week before we do this again for Christmas in December.

I need to go get a couple of large bottles of pepto bizmol ... I have a feeling I will need it tonight.
