I want to say and introduce myself. I am a disabled middle age woman who is crazy about birds.
I used to breed lovebird and cockatiels back in the mid 90s. I have started again and one pair each parrolets, quakers, english budgies and cockatiels.
My pet birds are Merlin a bare eyed cockatoo, Paco a chattering lory, Rainbow a rainbow lorikeet, Emma an alexanderine parakeet and last but not least Pigwidgeon an english budgie.
Hi Carol, my Dr. has me on disability right now too.
If you can sign up for an outside acct. (like photobucket.com) you can upload pics from your computer, resize them and load them here, using the IMG tag.
It's kind of confusing at first, or at least it was for me.
Photobucket is easy to sign up for and once you get the hang of it it's really easy.
I'm sure there are a bunch of people here that could help you. That's how I learned. Someone walking me thru it. We'll all help ya thru it!
One of the things I loved about coming here is finding people with bigger flocks. Most of my friends and family think I have to many birds.
I was going to name him Hedwig, yes I am huge Harry Potter fan. I got him when he was still bald and being feed by mama bird. As he grew I realized he was not a Hedwig. When I visited at the bird store after he was pulled for hand feeding he would try and zip all around.
Welcome, Carol. I hope you enjoy it here. Once you have your pictures loaded on your computer you can down load them by just clicking on the paperclip on the far right up above the box in which you write your reply. That way you don't even need photobucket if you choose not to use it. I would be glad to help if you need me.
Thanks. I have to find the right flash drive with some of the pictures. I have a bad bad computer and I don't dare store anything important on its hard drive I am to afraid that when it crashes ( I think that day is coming soon) I would lose everything.
I had a lot of fun last night trying to get pictures of the breeders through their cage bars. Every time I would start to get a good shot they would move. I will keep trying.
