The other day, I saw the most amazing thing.

I went to Mt Bruce to see the native birds, and it was awesome.

I was lucky enough to witness the kaka feeding (kaka are parrots native to NZ, about the size of a greater sulpher crested cockatoo http://www.nzbirds.com/birds/kaka.html)

I didn't get a photo of all of them, but there was at least 30 birds!

It was quite an amazing sight, and you could get so close to them.

Mt Bruce is a must if you are ever in NZ around the wairarapa area.

Oh Ella, to see so many of them in the wild would be amazing. They are quite rare. And such beautiful big birds. You are very lucky.
