The other day, I saw the most amazing thing.
I went to Mt Bruce to see the native birds, and it was awesome.
I was lucky enough to witness the kaka feeding (kaka are parrots native to NZ, about the size of a greater sulpher crested cockatoo http://www.nzbirds.com/birds/kaka.html)
I didn't get a photo of all of them, but there was at least 30 birds!
It was quite an amazing sight, and you could get so close to them.
Mt Bruce is a must if you are ever in NZ around the wairarapa area.
