Keiba. :lovehearts:

The breeder came over a few or so hours ago, and he stayed here for well over an hour chatting to me and mum about IRN's and all different things, he's a really lovely man.

Anyway, not sure of the babies sex, but the breeder said he thinks male and usually he's right, so I'm just going to say "him".

Keiba is 8 weeks old, he's SO cuddly and tame, I held onto him for ages and then I put him in his cage (I'm buying another one, so the cage he's in is just for now) to give him some space. He steps up, likes scritches (YAY), adores being cuddled and he's just super friendly. He can't fly yet, but he's starting to and he hasn't cracked any seeds as of yet either - so I'm going to hand-feed him twice a day, in the morning and then before bed!

When the breeder got here, he didn't have him in a cage he just had him in his hands.. I am surprised even though he can't really fly, that he just sat there.

I can't find my camera cord (grrrr) so I had to take photos with my mobile that has crap quality - as soon as I find my camera cord I'll get better photos, this doesn't really show his colors properly.. he's a really really light blue with a white head.

I also forgot to mention.. he's so HEAVY!! :yikes: It's like having 5+ Cockatiels on your hand.

Here's a few photos

Oh, he is ADORABLE! :hearts: Congrats! He sounds like such a cuddle bug! Can't wait to see more photos and hear how he grows up!
It really is a handsome bird. Congratulations!
He is SO cute! I cant believe you got another bird :p
 I know! I will say my mum wasn't very happy at first when I told her, but then she seen him and was all "AWW OMG!" and fell in love with him straight away.. now she hasn't left him alone since yesterday, she's been hand-feeding him and all.
Oh.My.Goodness. How cute is he?! :lovehearts:I love the name too- so unique! How did you think of it?
Thanks Jill, as for his name, I looked up unique names in Google. :p

If "he" turns out to be female, I'll be keeping the name, it's actually a girls name, but it's a name a male or female could fit with I reckon. :)
Very pretty baby! How could your mom not fall in love with him?!

Very beautiful, nice name too. So the breeder sells them unweaned? That is not good unless you know what you are doing and it sounds like you are doing every thing right. Nice pictures.

Actually, as a matter of fact, NO he doesn't. He never has and never will UNLESS the person has experience and he's seen for himself they can hand-feed. :)

He was going to give me a weaned baby IRN at first and then I told him I have experience hand-feeding Cockatiels (I hand-feed 3 of mine successfully) as well as Green Cheek Conures, and Quakers, then he told me he has another IRN that is 8 weeks old and is still on 2 hand-feedings a day and I told him I'll take the one that's on 2 hand-feedings because he has 10+ other babies to hand-feed and one less will make it a bit easier for him.

I had to hand-feed Keiba while the breeder was here to show him I can do it, and he was happy enough to let me have him since he seen himself I can do it and know how to do it.
Breeding your tiels too, :yikes: You're gonna have to hire outside help, or it's gonna be "All hands on deck" in your family. :giggle:
How did I miss this! He`s adorable! :mcongratulations:
He's gorgeous :lovehearts: I love the colour. *whisper... anyone want to join me in birdnapping
