He sits on the play stand for hours just looking out the window. Bourkes are such sweethearts!

Yes, they are very gentle! I only looked after mine for a couple of months before I found a home for him/her, but s/he was such a lovely bird. They don't chew, bite, or make as much noise as most parrots. They are so sweet.

Oh, no... don't tempt me! I've been fascinated with Bourke's for quite some time now! Seeing photos of gorgeous Kirby isn't helping :p

I'm rather partial to the "normal" (wild-type) but I will say that rosey and pink mutations are really pretty!

Eliza...I read that you're torn between a Bourkes and a Linnie. I have both. I've just been through a terrible time with Levi, in regards to noise. I don't think the screaming is normal for Linnies, but it can and does happen...I'm living proof! :giggle:
