How long have you had Sweetheart now? She is loving all this attention you are giving her.

 

J. and I have had Sweetheart with us since late Spring. J.'s grown daughter had gotten ill, and was in hospital, so instead of visiting Buddie (as she was called in this household) at Marsha's home, daily, we decided to bring this little parakeet to our apartment for birdie caretaking. She was originally named Buddie Bird, because it was believed that she was a male -- and we were thinking of calling her Rosebud -- but I began to call out "Good Morning, Sweetheart," to her every morning, and she was noticeably responding to this, so the name Sweetheart stuck. (J. still calls her Buddie Bird, from time to time -- and I am certain she still recognizes this name, as well.)

 

Nice, I'm sure Buddie Bird aka Sweetheart is happy to have a couple of new people fussing over her daily, who knows maybe she will enjoy a hands on relationship with you both in time. Anythings possible with these amazing little birds.
