Leo has been staying here, at my place because he was ill, my brother was going to take him back because he really wanted him, but I had a talk with him today and he admitted (which I thought was a good thing to do) that he couldn't afford to keep him because he's on a really tight budget. :)

So Leo's part of the flock now (as of today). :lovehearts: I had to talk to my mum with begging, but she's said yes, LOL. Lucky I have a mother that loves birds.

I let him out earlier, like I do every day (away from the others of course) to have a fly and hang out, do whatever he wants.. I got some photos too! he steps up now, happily, while he's out of his cage it's just while he's in his cage he can get a bit wild if you try get him out so I have to leave the door open so he can go in and out as he pleases which he's more happy doing so.

Photos that I took of him earlier:

Pardon me if im wrong but ive never met Leo before and "he " seems to be a "she " , unless Leo is still very young , then please excuse my mistake, lol! Leo is by the way very beautiful!
Awww How Cute! How old is leo again?

Glad you could take him in. He deserves a good home

It's okay, lol. It's hard to tell when they're young, but Leo is definitely a male, he whistles and all. He's still really young, but he's getting his yellow mask in slowly. :)

Oh and thanks guys!
ok i was just wondering , i know a female tiel with a slight yellow mask that talks up a storm and sings her head off, they thought she was a he till she laid a clutch of eggs lol!
Oh really.

Well, I could have one of them rare females, but I'm pretty sure Leo's a male, if not, I'll have to do a name change, I'm hoping he's a male so I can breed him later on when he's old enough!
Aw Solace, he is a beaut'!
Tiels are so adorable, i always see them at the shops all quiet and standing there and such.
For some reason when i see pictures from bird websites, their all happy and hyper.
And Leo looks like he's a happy handsome little boy ;D
Thanks!

LOL they can be pretty hyper when they want to be. You should get one. ;)

Really?
Do they have big poops?
And i've heard they get lots of illnesses.
Maybe that's just a rumor.
Or are they like budgies.

 Their poops aren't too much bigger then a Budgies.

I haven't had any illnesses with my 'tiels apart from Leo, but he came from a pet store, so that's no surprise!

As long as you give them what they need (pellets, veggies, seed etc) and make sure they're kept healthy you won't come across any illnesses. They are pretty much like Budgies, only bigger, so look at them as a BIG Budgie. :p
Well, male or female, it is a pretty handsome bird. LOL
I'm glad your brother realized he couldn't take the best care of him and let you have him.
Leo is stunning! I am glad you get to keep him. I remember hearing about your wanting to keep him before.
Leo sure is a cutie! :lovehearts: Congrats on the new addition and I'm glad he's recovered so well!
He stoled (I mean 'stoled' hehe) my heart.
