ok some times no matter how much care we give our birds there is just some things we can,t prevent . one of my breeding pairs in october hatched a chick as time went on i started to worry at 8 weeks old this chick was not perching or flying it constantly sitting on the floor of the cage it is fully weaned and still cannot fly or perch so this little one will stay with me it is so tame she cuddles right up to me here is a pic of the darling

He's so handsome! I wonder what the problem is... he looks ok... that's very strange! Regardless, he sounds like a super sweet bird and I'm glad you're keeping him! Special needs birds are underrated... they can make amazing pets :lovehearts:

Awe sweet little thing. I breed fancy chickens and 2 years ago hatched a chick with what I equate as the bird version of down syndrome. Poor muscle tone, fluffed appearance, soooo sweet and happy. He also had a deformity in his neck. He was the sweetest little guy. He died at around 4 months old. Everyone who visited just loved him, but like you said, I could not give him to someone with his future being so uncertain. May your sweet special needs Tiel be a blessing to your home all the time he is with you. :)

I think its really nice of you to look after him. special needs animals are so often ignored, but they can make lovely pets. all they need is a little effort and TLC, to help them live normal life.
the world needs more people like you!
