Cool! They're such awesome looking toys.

I tried to make a foraging toy for Ziggy, but it turned out more like a weird flute

I'm going to try these!!

Mythara,
Thank you for posting all of the pictures of the toys and the instructions.

Ella,
A weird flute sounds like a good toy, too. Why not post a picture?

I try not to embarrass myself too much on here :giggle:. I've never been good at building things.

Here is the awful-masterpiece
(I put nuts and things in and Ziggy pulls them out!)

Ella have you tried hanging it? Ours have one like that (with balsa wood) that I put pellets in and they go crazy for it. I think I've already posted it in the captive foraging thread at the top, but maybe not. :)

Mythara, what's the link to the blog about the shredder swing you made? It looks like two pieces of braided newspaper that have been looped. My parrotlet loves the one I bought made of cloth, and he loves shredding newspaper, so i thought it might be fun to try making that one. Would you mind giving me the link?

And Ellie, the little flute foraging toy you made is great! hehe!

I also made a braided newspaper that turned out to big to be a swing. I used regular size newspaper instead of flyer sized. So I hung it in my parrotlet cage....He loves to hang onto the side of it and shred...and man does it last a long time. The other day he was making a big fuss and I went to see what was wrong with him and he was looking at his newspaper rope on the bottom of the cage and looking back at me then at the rope again as if to say....'fix it Mom...FIX ITTT' so I hung it back up and he was sooo happy...lol.
