congrats on your new addition :) I have a sun conure, Briar.
I've found they can be very cuddly and want to always be with you. They are LOUD lol but not all that often, Briar only screams to wake me up, find me in the house or welcome me home :)

He''s very set in his ways though, takes him a while to accept new food, loves new toys though. he's a very high energy bird, always on the go with a fairly short attention span :p

They can be a bit nippy, but he's only ever bitten me if I'm in his "space" and he doesn't want me there :p its never a real "bite" though, just a warning nip :)

A favorite with conures is usually destroying things :p and he makes soup in his water dish but that could just be his little quirk and not necessarily a conure trait :p

hope this helps and have fun with your new fid!!

Congrats! :)
I have a jenday conure, and their loud. ;)
She does love to cuddle with me, and talks a bit. She only bites me when she is very grumpy or I get too close when she is not wanting to be touched!
I think she is pretty predictable :p So its not too hard to avoid bites.

Congrats! I dont own a Jenday, but I do own an Maroon Belly, and she is a real darling.

They can be quite loud, but in saying that, so can quakers or greys, so you are probably used to that.

She may be very cuddly, as I know that many conures love their cuddles. I would also like to say that they can be little biters! Although they mostly bite to warn you that you are doing something they don't like or just for fun I find sometimes with Ziggy!

You will see her personality when you get her, and if she has been given enough attention by her previous owners, she shouldn't have any problems like bad screeching or feather plucking.

A lot of parrots find it hard moving to a new owner, so be aware she most probably be cautious and possibly aggressive towards you, so work on her slowly.

Soon, she will warm up to you, because conures are such attention seekers and will decide she needs someone to watch her and play with her.

I bet she will be a real darling, I'm so excited for you!

cool guys thanks for all the input...

Being loud is cool....cuz the grey and quaker know know to handle that...LOL.....

but yea...we're gonna have her in another room for a while, before we bring her around the other two....give her time to bond to us, get to know us.

I guess "from what I here" is she knows how to step up, say "step up, night sophie", and "morning sophie"....so she has a lot of potential. We do know that the lady who were getting her from took eally good care of her, and had lots of time to spend with her....untill lately...hence the whole move...

We're really excited....:lovehearts:

Congrats! Jendays are pretty much like sunnies, with a little more attitude and independence in my experience. Personally, I think they're prettier :p I hope she settles in well, she sounds adorable!
