That is a tough question! We are getting a senegal, maybe a grey (still working on the details), would love a cocatoo, blue and gold macaw, I'd really like another black cap conure, and an eclectus, but I would love another amazon as well! Really it would be easier to say what I don't want! Lol! My dear huband says I'm a bird brain and his name isn't Noah! Lol!
Even though we fell in love with an umbrella cockatoo today....and I really would love to have an African Grey.....a Quaker might be our next addition.
African Grey and a Hahns Macaw. :)

Both would be perfect but I think if I had to choose one I'd go for the Hahns Macaw. :p
Next I want to get a breeding pair of Linnies.
A Dusky Pionus! Very nice birds. Our shop had a baby, 9 months old. They sold it before I could buy it,aarrgghhh..........
I would get a African Gray!!! There so cute!
Oh jeeze.. I don't think I could handle another bird right now! Goober is so demanding! But if I could, realistically, a Grey or a Cape Parrot :lovehearts: unrealistically, a hawk-headed parrot or a queen of bavaria (golden) conure!
I have 4 Budgies and two Linnies at the moment and I prefer to stick with the smaller size parrots...

If I were to add another bird to my flock I'm pretty positive it would be a Black Capped Conure.:)
I think if I were to get another parrot, It'd probably be a small cockatoo or a grey.

If cost, size, feeding and housing weren't an issue, I'd go for a blue and gold macaw! But I don't think thats going to happen any time soon! :giggle:
I would probably go for a blue Quaker...then a Senegal...then an African Grey...then a Severe Macaw.
I LOVE this place..LOL..
no no no i meant...if you had my two... (a grey and a quaker) what bigger bird would you wanna bring into the family?

(bigger meaning macaw, too, amazon ect.ect.)
Ooooh, lol! :XD: I would maybe add a too then! Maybe a Goffins or a Lesser Sulfur, so it's not too much larger than your CAG. It'll spice things up by giving you a bird with a whole new personality profile, but they're mellow enough to fit in. Just make sure you have the time to give them, toos are more needy than even your grey!

Or, if you don't have the time to devote to a too, you could add one of the Poicephalus family! Senegal, Jardine's, Cape, Red Bellied, etc. They're snuggly, form strong bonds, and are more independant, along the lines of your Grey. Snuggly when they want to be and OK to keep themselves entertained! They're also mellow enough they'll fit in well with everyone.
Got 3 budgies, a linnie and a Meyer's and I'm pretty sure the next bird would be a quaker. I just love those little guys.

The Capes are gorgeous, so gentle and great talkers too! My friend has the sweetest little boy!
Baby capes are soooooooooooooooo cute. They look like dinosaurs. Well, maybe all baby birds look like dinosaurs, but capes look even more like dinosaurs.
Jenny, why did you remind me how adorable capes are?

Just wait, Nanay, in a few days I'm going to upload photos I took from a local bird shop and one of them is a baby cape! :lovehearts: He's been there for 6 months now, it's so sad! If I had the $2,6000 I'd take him home! But that's WAY out of my price range right now!
I can't wait to see the pictures. And, like you, that is WAY out of my price range, too, now or ever. So that should make it safe to enjoy the pictures.
Toos aren't as demanding as many people think, as long as they are not on their own. Of my 8 Sulphurs 6 have been hand raised. Sammy and his sister Charlie are just over 9 years old and Charlie is a big cuddle bunny. I get big kisses from her every day. The Terrible Twins, Heckle and Jeckle are just over 2 and are typical 2 year olds. Then there is George, The Harry Houdini Too. Harry had a bad childhood and was not very friendly. He was originally loaned to me to pair with Charlie, but poor George was terrified of her when they got into an aviary. Charlie did everything a female cocatoo should do with a male but George didn't want to know her. George became mine last year when he and some money were exchanged for one of my young Short Billed Corella's, Gus who is a good talker and very friendly. His second owner wanted a bird he could handle easily. George is slowly coming around and instead of trying to bite now lets me rub his foot and give him the occassional head scratch. It's taken a while but he is starting to tame down again. Then there is Sweetie Pie who we don't know whether she has PFBD or is just old and going bald. She was dumped in a friends front yard in a small budgie cage and he brought her to me. Since then her bottom mandible has been trimmed to normal and on Christmas Eve her top madible broke off back to a normal size. She was frightened of people until after we trimmed her bottom mandible. She seemed to realize that I was not going to hurt her and just started to be friendly and also talks. She is so very sweet in temperament, someone must have done something really bad to her in her past. Now she demands a head scratch every morning and a piece of bread for breakfast. She is not very pretty but her sweetness more than makes up for that.

I also have 2 hand raised Short Billed Corella's, 2 brothers. Kaspar is friendly when he feels like it but he was teased by the son of his original owner for years but his younger brother Karl is totally adorable. At 3 years old he is very loving and a very good talker.

I have one hand raised Galah who I bred and hand raised about 4 years ago. She has been in an aviary since she was about 1 but still loves a head scratch every time I enter the aviary. Also wants one everytime I go past.

Obviously I can't spend much time with all these hand raised birds but they still love and want any attention I can give them without turning feral and becoming nippy, in fact the nippy birds they were when I got some of them are now reversing back to lovely friendly birds again as they learn to trust me. But they are not alone and have many friends to talk to and relate to and I think this makes all the difference.

What a wonderful story Kate. Thank you for rescuing birds from a bad situation.
We'd love some pics.
