pasta.....cooked or raw?

I have heard that feeding our birds pasta is a good for them. Do I cook it or feed it to them raw or does it matter?

Thanks in advance.

I use raw pasta in foraging toys, but my birds don't eat it that way. They're 'tiels and budgies so they really don't have the beak strength to break it up and eat it raw. I cook couscous for them to eat which they love, and cook things into penne pasta, which they enjoy digging into but I'm not sure how much of that they eat.
I cook the pasta and they definitely eat a little of it.
Mine LOVE cooked pasta ! they make such a mess with it too.
Mine adore cooked pasta! I don't like uncooked, I'm afraid of them cracking it and the sharp bits that tend to shatter, but it is listed as safe to consume.
Harpo LOVES pasta, and he loves to "paint" his cage with hit, too. :p

I never offer it raw because if they do manage to break it open, I'd be worried about the sharp pieces that result, as Jenny mentioned. Just be careful. :)
Him pasta, i'll have to see if cupid likes it!
I always give them whole wheat, cooked pasta, and MAMA MIA!!! they LOVE it.

I'm not surprised! When I tried whole wheat / whole grain pasta for the firs time, I promised myself I'd never go back to the plain 'ol stuff. :p
Mine like it with a touch of Smart Balance margarine and sometimes a little sauce.
