We think she must have had a night fright last night, because she's lost a lot of the feathers on one wing, and can't fly at the moment. She's feeling quite sorry for herself just now but she's enjoying being babied a bit too, and she'll be getting a lot of her favourite things for the next couple of days. The worst thing, is that she forgets she can't fly, and keeps trying and missing.
Lofty seems fine though, and we can't see any feathers missing on her.
Before this, they've only had night frights first thing in the morning, like a few weeks ago, when we were looking after my parents dog. We'd uncovered them, but they weren't really awake yet, and the dog banged against the cage, which panicked them. Other than a couple more instances like that, they haven't had any in just over a year that we've owned them. We're definitely going to see about getting them a night light now though.
