Bryan,
I can't really tell from the picture. Is that just a place where the feathers separate, similar to a cowlick in people? Is that your quaker in the picture or another quaker?

Dexter, my Quaker has that too. It kind of looks like a dimple on his head. I''m pretty sure its just a Quaker trait. Here's a pic that I think you can see it:

Was the Quaker with other birds? If so, one of the other birds could have bit at his head. Does it look like a wound? Can you take a pic of it?

I too believe it could be the feather. My quakers had exactly the same thing. If it isn't that I too believe it could be an injury
