Mumble

I cant believe im writing here.... I knew it was coming but i cant believe its true, Mumble my dearest little boy is gone. He died in my hands and i cant stop crying:cryin: . I took him out to clean off his bum since he plucked the feathers because of the tumor and i decided i was going to take some pictures of him next to a teddy bear since this I knew this would be our last christams together but he flew and hit the floor, so i picked him up and layed him on the desk when i noticed he was lieing down and moving him self with his wings i paniced and picked him up about to put him back in the cage hoping this was all a dream when i noticed him try to fly but he had a crazy look in his eyes so i quickly layed him on a towel and huged him and kissed him ...his legs curled up and the look he gave me was... relaxing. Then all the color from his eyes , tounge and feet drained away from his body as he curled his head towards me. He was covered in tears , as i cried out for my dad ....my little boy was gone.​

I tired to convince myself he isnt dead , and i still am .... but i know the difference. But i just cant let go of him , he is in my arms in that same towel. I had to close his eyes for him....
My dad is gone to get him a box and some flowers , but i cant let go of him just yet , Chibi-Chibi is flock calling for him , racing back and forth rapidly , just before he took his last breathe Chibi Chibi flew over to say good bye. :cryin: He is no longer in pain , i just wish he would of lasted until after christmas since this would be our 3rd one .... i know it sounds greedy but ... Mumble :cryin:​

I thought i had encountered the hardest part , but im only realizing im trying to do bring my self together to do the hardest part... putting him into a baggy and into the freezer until i can burry him

Oh no Iam so sorry to hear about Mumble

Stacey... this might sound horrible, but... it took me 3 hours to wrap Mizu in a napkin, tuck her in a little tupperware with napkins around her like a blanket, and place her in the freezer until I could bring myself to bury her... it then took me a week to bury her, and 4 hours to actually do it... so don't feel like you're alone, or crazy for not being able to do it... I couldn't bear looking at Mizu when she died, I just couldn't handle it. :hug: Trust me, you're not alone here, we all go through the same feelings and thoughts. It gets easier with time, though it's hard to believe. We're all here to help, if you need anything at all Stacey :grouphug:

I saw this thread and I thought 'oh my gosh, this can't be right....':rip:
Mumble would have to be one of my favourite budgies on here and TB, he was, and always will be, very special.

I'm so sorry to hear this, it's a terrible time losing a budgie.

I know it's already been said but it's nice that he was able to die with you, and he died knowing he was loved.

He was a stunning little bird, and it's almost hard to believe how much joy such little animals can bring, and then how much pain when they leave us.

We are all here for you, :hug:

And lets not forget about Chibi Chibi and Mimzy, they must be having a terrible time as well, I know how close that little flock was. Whether they know where he has gone or not, I'm sure they miss him.:cryin:

Mumble may be gone, but he will never be forgotten.

Mimzy and Chibi-Chibi .... hardly move , no playing , bickering
and mimzy is plucking her self ..the cage is covered in feathers , poor girly Mumble we think was from the same clutch

Stacey maybe Mimzy and Chibi-Chibi can feel your pain. Our little darlings seem to recognize their human friends moods, good or bad. Try smiling and singing to them. It will do them good and you too. I know how hard that sounds but I'm sure it's what Mumble would want.
