Here is a copy of what I have complied for our group. You will find this list has New Zealand and Australian trees added, which most list do not have.
Any comments. Like things you see wrong or not listed please say something. I want it to be the most complete correct list available.

NOTES:
A: Manuka (Tea Tree in New Zealand) On one site the leaf is listed as (should be removed) Not true. Proven here in NZ that some of our birds enjoy chewing and they do get trace elements from the bark and leaf, that is beneficial to them.
Quote this comment "Not only do birds have the pleasure of natural recreation while stripping the branches of edible parts, they also get phytonutrients, trace elements of various minerals, and natural fiber needed for efficient digestion."

B: While most palm fruit is considered safe. There are a few listed as unsafe. Sago Palm nut. Betel Palm nut. Fish Tail Palm nut.

Thank you Clive. I have been using Crape Myrtle for years. Every time it is pruned I get a supply of perches and it takes the Cockatoos quite a bit of time to chew through them. I have also just had to prune a large branch from my multi grafted pear tree and I was going to see if it was safe for the birds. I don't need to go and look now.
