Russy flew away and I couldn't find her and it's my fault and I couldn't stop crying. I looked everywhere for her and couldn't hear her.
I put up 20 missing notices yesterday. All through town and around the area.
Then I called the SPCA at about 6pm. Someone had handed her in in the morning. I was so happy I was crying.
She was found in the morning about 15-20mins walk from here. Man, what a little strong girl. This isn't an rural/small town with nice garden area. I live pretty much central town. So there would have been a lot of cars and traffic. My poor baby. And it was horrible weather the night she was out. She has a grazed cere and is really exhausted. Vet says she's okay though. I'm so happy to have her back <3
I wanted to send a note and a box of chocs or something to the people who handed her in, but they were 'anonymous'. I'm still so grateful. Got a text yesterday from someone who had seen my missing posters and said they saw a bird of that description yesterday at Brooklyn park - but that's the other way. I hope it was just a native bird and not someone else's budgie. If it was Russ, she really did fly heaps. I'm kinda proud of her actually, but so happy she's back.
Got a text at 5am (urgh) saying they found Russ. Maybe it's the people who handed her in. I asked when and where just in case it's not them.
My concern is that she's being very quiet and antisocial and looking tired, so hopefully it is just exhaustion and she'll be okay soon?
