These are absolutely beautiful pictures! I especially love where you can see that beautiful long tail!
I hope I don't seem like a killjoy but I have to say that my quaker had a half clip. Someone left the door open for a minute and there was a breeze-we lived out in the country. I literally ran for 20 acres, chasing my little guy with tears in my eyes as he soared above my head from tree to tree, shrieking his little heart out. He went into the top of a huge oak tree and then when I was just coming to a place where I would not be able to follow him anymore, he landed on a barbed wire fence and let me pick him up.
I put him in my shirt and shook all the way home-I came so close to losing him.
I'm sure you love your bird very much and want to give it some freedom-maybe you could get a little birdy harness?
Again, I don't want to seem judgmental or nosy, I just don't want anything to happen:(

Ziggy is beautiful! Wonderful pictures!

but I am going to join the chorus and say please get Ziggy into a harness. She is young and thus can easily be trained to wear one. This would make outside time MUCH more safe!

I didn't think of that, Ella, but if you could, it's easy to teach! I got Goober to wear one in just 15 minutes of work. Does Ziggy let you play with his/her wings? (Sorry, I can't remember if you ever got DNA back!) Because that seems to be what bothers birds about the harness. I just scratched Goober all over until she got nearly comatose (she does that :giggle:) and snuck it on there and she did just fine with it! The leashes are really long and it comes in a cute shade of green or maroon so you could get it to match Ziggy's feathers too!

Thanks guys.

I'm always careful that it's not a windy day when she's outside, but wind can be unpredictable, as I have already experienced (with my budgie and his cage) so I think I'll get her a harness.

Ziggy LOVES having her back and wings touched, so no doubt she'll be fine with a harness.

Thanks

Best of luck with the harness! I would like to hear about how she does with it as well!
