Anybody sprout seeds and offer them? They are extremely healthy, and my birds LOVE sprouts (with the exception of Ms. Picky Lily)!

Wow I've never heard of this...what's it all about?
Sprout people seem to be popular on the p'let forum. They apparently carry mixes and bowls to sprout. Jenny and I really should try this with all our beaks to feed. I think we would all enjoy the process.

Yeah, we have a handful of members on the Linnie Forum who sprout too. One of them wrote the first article that I linked to in my above post.
I have to give it another try. My problem is I forget about them. Spicky, what are you soaking in that first picture?
Yes, I do sprout for my birds! And they just love it! :D I would recommend everyone to do it on a regular basis, cause it is very healthy, and they love it a lot
Mine love sprouts too. I've been sprouting them for them, but I also buy alpha and clover sprouts when I don't have time to do it.
I did try that with millet but didnt turn out too well

Seeds must not have been fresh
Yes I do sprout too :)
The budgies love it! and its very healthy.
I use the easy sprouter and a purchased mix of bird sprouting seeds. My birds really like them but seem tired of them right now so I have stopped feeding sprouts for a week or so.
I bought an expensive brand of sprouting seeds, went through the process, even added the ACV to prevent mold.......the little buggers turned their noses up at them and looked at me like "You can't be serious", grrrrrr!!!! Maybe I'll try again sometime
i tried sprouting seeds before without much luck, I always found it to smell like yeast so i would give up and usually let it grow to grass and throw it. Might try again soon enough.
I never have anyluck with sprouting latley :(
Nick how do you sprout yours?
Higgins makes a product called "Snack Attack Soak & Sprout" that I buy, plop it into some water, soak then sprout! Simple and easy! :)
I ordered the med bird mix from the sprout people, will update once i try it.:biggrin5:
