[Sweet Parakeet]

When J. introduced a big, fresh Romaine lettuce leaf for Sweetheart's breakfast yesterday morning, she was eager to get involved with this, by putting her foot down on the leaf, to hold it in place, before taking the old leaf in her beak and throwing down to the bottom of her cage. She was making sure that the fresh leaf wasn't going anywhere, except in her tummy.

Sweetheart likes her celery tops, and seemed to enjoy knawing at an orange vegetable -- some carrot sticks.


Does Nannerz like sweet bell pepper? I've heard of other parrot owners giving this vegetable to their birds with success.

Yes Nanner does like sweet green red or yellow and orange peppers. She even likes hot peppers! There isn't much this little vegan budgie doesn't like when it comes to veg or fruits. :biggrin5:
