(So you all know this is just a little something that I wrote up on my own. I did not read any thing or hear any thing about it but, I thought it's something I'd share with you all since it's something that I thought up totally on my own)

There once was a beautiful Military Macaw. That lived life happily in a cage, but, was let out every day to stretch his wings. One day, when he was let out his owners forgot that that they left the door open while bringing in the groceries from the car, when they let the macaw out to play.

The Macaw ended up flying out of the house. His owners went after him. They tried to catch him, they called out his name. But, he did not answer, he was enjoying his fly time not realizing he was outside, not realizing that his owners were calling him.

His green feathers on his body glistened in the sunlight. His red cap was a bright red as an apple, the blue on his feathers were the color of the sky.
He soon eventually grew tired. He flew over to a tree and landed on one of the branches. Fell asleep on the branch. His owners worried. They kept calling out for him. After his hour nap he soon looked around, he didn't know where he was. He soon started calling out his owners names that he had heard plenty of time before when his owners were talking to each other.

They didn't answer. He panicked and started flying again, he had no idea that he was lost.

He flew, and flew even when he was tired. Eventually he flew in the direction he had flown from after heading back to the tree that he started off from his rest. He soon fell asleep, he knew he was hungry and thirsty, as well as scared.

The next morning the macaw woke up. He flew in the direction that he knew he flew from. He heard his owners calling. He soon started calling back to them. His owners called louder. When he saw his owners in site he called happily seeing them. It was then he landed on his male owners arm. He talked happily away about his adventures as they let him inside. They told him how much he missed them and knew they should have payed more attention to him when they forgot to shut the screen door when bringing in the groceries.

Cute. :)

I'm actually writing my own bird-related story, but it's more of a novel length story. I'm a total writer. :p

I sure hope so!

I've been testing a few different bird related story ideas, just to see which one I liked the most.

The one I've been working on is about a girl who's in her early twenties. Her mom had passed away a few years ago. Her mom was in love with birds and had birds of all kinds. The girl absolutely loved her mother and her mother's birds. So after her mom passed away, the girl had become depressed and kept to herself a lot, and made extra efforts to avoid birds (because it brought back memories and made her sad). Then one day she takes a trip to the bird store that her and her mother spent a lot of their time at, and she ends up buying herself a bird from there a few days later. Life starts getting better for her. She has great times with her new bird, starts working at the bird store, begins to laugh and smile more, and she becomes overall more happy.

That's all I have for that story so far. There's a lot more I'll have to add and change, but it's surely on its way.

Naw that sounds quite sweet. Birds always seemed to help me through my tough times, especially Chalkie and Axel.

I'd have to agree with that. Birds, and other animals, seem to help me cope with a lot of things. I like to cuddle with them when life gets tough. Ya know, spend a little time in their world, where you know things are less stressful. It helps me relax. It reminds me that I still have little friends that love me. And it keeps me busy doing things I love (caring for my birds and contributing on here) whether other things in my life are bad or not.

Yeah  my animals get me through everything to be honest. When all the bad stuff was going down with my family and I was taken from my mom I was completely lost but when I was 12 my granddad was like "I couldn't find you a Harris' hawk...." and I was like sobbing (hahaha) and he went "I'm kidding we're getting it this weekend" and I was like yay! And when I got him I had like constant happiness and whenever I feel rubbish I will go and grab a fold up chair and sit in the aviary hehe :giggle: it's pretty big, 10 foot long, 8 foot wide and 7 foot tall :D plenty of room for me XD

That sounds so cool! Aviaries are really neat. And your whole "birds of prey" thing. I'm really interested in it.

Haha, "rubbish." I am now going to use that word. ;) The only time I've ever heard "rubbish" being used is in Harry Potter. (I LOVE HP)
