Tiki (the hopeful Jenday Conure)

Ok so I've been wanting a Jenday Conure for a while now and have finally decided to start looking into it. I know they can be LOUD and live for just shy of forever. With a companion / pet that lives this long and is as demanding as I'm starting to think (2yr old forever and a day) I need to learn as much as I can about them. If anyone has any websites or books or whatever's they are willing to toss my way I'd appreciate it.

I'm a stay at home mom with 2 kids, 2 dogs, 2 cats and 2 keets (things are done in twos in my house still don't know why...lol). Finding info on personalitys or warnings about kids and other animals would be nice to know as well. Any info would be nice.

Thanks

I think most birds stay in the terrible twos forever. LOL ;) I love Jenday..... Conures..heck I love Conures so very much. Good luck on your search.
I searched about a bit and found two good links for you!

I liked this one because it was a personal account of someone who raised and worked with one. Very interesting!

This one was informative as well!

Hope that helps!
Thanks for the links Jenny, they are very helpful.
No problem! Glad they helped! I haven't worked with one personally, only the Suns, so unfortunately I don't have any personal experience with them, but they seem super sweet!
Jendays are one of the louder conures... but heck... all aratingas can be loud! So with good training, i dont see a problem. My blue crowned has his moments, normally for about 10 minutes in the am and again in the pm.... its just natural calling to the flock.
you can find more jenday info:
