I've recently noticed that ziggys flight feathers have been breaking.
i've had to remove them because the have been snapped somehow.
i thought it might be feather plucking, as her chest feathers are also quite scruffy.
but i also thought it could be a deficiency, and the chest feathers just a moult.
please help. im very worried, because if its a calcium deficiency id really like to know because shes coming up to the age where she might start egg laying.

Ella - could you post a picture or two? It could be overpreening - Goober does that sometimes. It could also just be a big molt.

Does Ziggy play rough, or roll on her back, to play with her toys in the cage? Does she do a lot of flapping about in the cage? Any of those things could muss up her feathers

Have things gotten better, since you haven't responded to Jenny?
