A few of you might remember this video. This was used in the last round of Talk Budgies All Birds Next Top Model. :) Buuut I figured I'd put it out there for those who hadn't seen it yet.

Haha, what a silly bird! That water must be so cold! And Nini is adorable! Does she do that on command, or when you're talking to her, just to be cute?
Oh wow I LOVE the video of Mochi and the cold shower, how did you discover he liked that :D

Nini doing the flip is real cute, Ava used to do that but she would get stuck on her back and flap around until she got her self back up :p

Haha, it's freezing cold. I'll never understand why it's her favorite shower.

She does it when we talk to her, so I guess it's semi-on command. :D

Well, when she was young, she REFUSED to take showers in anything but ice cold water. I tried to make it lukewarm, but nope, she wanted COLD water. She's grown out of it, though, but she still prefers cold baths. :D

Aww, Ava sounds adorable! :D
I love the video of Mochi taking a bath! That's a very unique way of getting your bird to take a bath! :D
Cute videos!! Mochi is adorable! Is she very loud? I would love a sun, but I don't know if I could take much of their screaming. Zoe's screaming is different than a sun's. To me it's a little bit more tolerable. My husband doesn't think so though!
I love MOCHI! Oh gosh why do you have to tempt me.....my mom loves them too, jendays and suns, and she said when we move to the other house with no neighbors we can have an aviary with conures because in the city here they would be a noise report waiting to happen, our neighbor has one and we wold never do that to our neighbors, it is SO LOUD. :D! Happy! UH oh, accidental hijack, i got distracted by adorable conures....

Thank you! It was entirely her idea. It actually gets kind of annoying when she tries to stick her head in your cup when you're planning on drinking the water.

Thank you Melinda! :D That really depends between different birds. Mochi's voice is indeed loud, but she has never, ever screamed for more than 15 seconds at a time. Atop of that, she'll only scream when she's startled, when she hears someone coming home, or if someone walks out of the room. As soon as she gets a few screams out of her system, she's fine and dandy. :) I was blessed with a fairly quiet Sunny. It probably helped that I got her really young, so she hasn't had bad experiences with any past owners. :) It is possible to get a problem screamer, though.

Haha, no worries about the Hijack! I'm glad to hear that your mom is as much of a Conure lover as you! :D They really are such awesome little birds. At least you know you'll be getting one someday. ;)

wow!
the first video is my all time fav!
Silly birds. :biggrin5: They're so cute.
I love all your birds especially the lovely Mochi! I have been researching conures lately and read the green cheeked conures are "more quiet". Hmmm, I'm used to a noisy, wee, lovebird so am wondered how a conure would compare to a lovie in sound? Anyone have any idea? 'Course individual birds and households would make a difference but I am asking in a general way.
Well, lovebirds aren't louder than conures, but they have a constant chatter. A sun conure will make your lovebird sound very quiet when it decides to make it's loud contact call, but with proper training and care they will only do that a few times a day, usually sunrise, sunset, when you first come home, etc. Green Cheeks will be quieter than your lovie, I should think.
