I love the option "View First Unread" that you find under "Post Reply" at the start of a thread. But for some reason it does not appear on every thread for me. I know that it never appears on threads that fall under the statement
The threads below have not been updated since you last visit but still contain unread post.
However, on the threads above this statement, some will have that option and some don't. I have tried to figure it out. I can understand if it is a new thread that I haven't read. But it won't always appear on threads that I have read, as well as replied to. I just can't find a pattern to why this option is on some threads and not others.
This option is on all the forums I visit and I have never had this problem before. Can someone help me or have I totally confused you?

Hm, interesting. I am not having that problem at all, so I have no clue what the issue could be, let alone how to fix it.

It shows up on all threads for me (unless the thread doesn't contain unread posts), even the ones below the statement you mentioned (on the New Posts list). :shrug:

It has me stumped too. It is not appearing on this thread right now.
I went to the first thread posted on my screen "Which bird should I get " by Everlove and it isn't there either but the next thread that was titled "HI" there it was.
I am really hoping someone can figure this out because like I said I really like that option.

have you tried clearing your cookies on your computer lately? Sumtimes that helps make these forums run smoother...
