FEMALE!

Ziggy is a girl! Although I was hoping for a boy, I don't love her any less, and her name is staying as Ziggy.

I'm slightly annoyed that the DNA results took 3 weeks longer than expected, because now I have to get used to calling Ziggy a her.

But she's no different in m eyes, I love her just as much :lovehearts:

We have a seriously pink male bourkes and a blue female linnie

Well, they are not dna'd, but we are told they are sexually dimorphic. I suppose the folks who are looking at the color patterns could be wrong. Since they are just pets, we probaly won't get that done.

We were told Millie was a male and when we had her DNA'd as female we changed her name from Willie to Millie. We initially planned on leaving the name alone but it made it easier to refer to Millie as girl.

Now every time I look at her I think to myself
"how could I have ever thought she was a boy, she looks so much like a girl!!"

She is fantastic and I wouldn't have her any other way.

Besides, now we have girls nights and watch movies and I give her a bath.... another girl to add to the rest, all my cats, dogs and my rats are all girls!!

I had exactly the same thing with Koda I thought she was a he, but 'he' started nipping quite a lot for a male lovebird. DNA test confirmed that 'he' wasn't a 'he'!

Gender doesn't matter, as long as you two bond together
