If you could have any species of parrot, money no object, then what would you want? I'd love a macaw one day, if I had the money and time (I would probably work from home if I could). What about you?

these are all beautiful birds that I would love to on one day. We did have an IRN, but it wasn't tame and was loud. It was from a petstore not a breeder, which would explain it - handreared birds are much more likely to bond with you and yo can get so much more out of it, and so can the bird. So unfortunately, the bird was sold, but hopefully, she fell into good hands.
I too had an IRN from a pet store who was in a real mess when I first got her. I thought her leg was going to have to be taken off. She passed away not too long ago from something else though. Though she wasn't tame I never attempted to tame her anyways. I'd open up her cage, clean it and give her food and water but that was about it. I would walk away and sit at my desk, she'd come out eventually but she was very frightened. I also believe she was wild caught too. Very very sad
I think that a hyacinth macaw may be the most expensive bird at $10,000!!!!! While a grey may be about £500 or £800, depending on age and condition and whatnot. They are still pretty expensive though
Yellow-naped Amazon for me please. I only want to have one bird. Multi birds is too much hard work, and if money is no object then I would want to go on holiday/vacation and stuff instead of sticking around look after birds.
maybe a hyacinth macaw or a Scarlet Macaw , if I had a big house and a big birdroom for them but for now I'am happy and blessed to have 4 happy beautiful birds
Hyacinth macaws in the UK are usually £12,500 + and I've seen black palm cockatoos go for £14,000+ Steller's Sea Eagles can be like £15,000, red tailed black cockatoos £20,000
I'm satisfied with my 4 little tiels; I used to think I'd want something like a grey..but I think smaller birds suit me best.
